In nephrology, nurses and doctors work together as a very close team. Although this relationship has evolved over time
there are always new things to learn.
In three dedicated sessions, highly topical renal nursing areas are explored, such as: operational crisis management, the many new challenges in patient care, critical matters of decision making and taking a more leading role along with more responsibility ownership. Also, the findings of six nurse research works are presented that have the potential to change nursing practice to improve patient care as well as advance the field of nursing. Finally, the hot topic of home dialysis in pandemic times and beyond is discussed from a nurse perspective.
